March 2014 (!!)

Hi Folks! Thanks for visiting my website.

Wow- It's only March and it has already been such an eventful 2014! Thanks to art enthusiasts (like you!) I continue to paint murals for some of the great businesses, individuals, and organizations in my beautiful home state of Vermont. I am grateful to every person who has encouraged me along the way. Thank you!

Last month Eva Sollberger (of Seven Days) filmed a Stuck in Vermont video, documenting a collaboration mural that was painted with the owner of the new (and fabulous) Pingala Café and Eatery in Burlington's Chace Mill

Check out Eva's Video below, and stop by the café if you can!!

Also, here is a video that was orchestrated by the lovely Julie Kelley of WCAX in January, while I was painting in the Jasper Hill Cheese Cell at the Food Venture Center in Hardwick, VT.

You can check out detailed pictures of these two murals on my Murals page. Also, I added a few miniature dog paintings to my Portraits Page.

This month I will be starting another project at the Cellars- A Cosmic Biochemical Cascade of Cheese. Stay tuned! Thanks again for checking out my work! -Tara

Hi Everyone!

Thank you so much for visiting my website, and for taking an interest in my art. I wouldn't be doing what I love to do without the support of people like you.

It was a fun and challenging month painting out in front of City Market with lots of shoppers walking by, but what made it great was the positivity that people showered on me. I hope I reflected these happy vibes in the mural!

I am so relieved to be done before the REALLY cold weather moves in for good.

I was very lucky to have so many sunny days in October and November!

Seven Days journalist Kevin J. Kelley wrote an article about the mural in last week's issue,

that can be seen by clicking on the picture below:

Ps. My apologies for my nearly neglectful posting habits! It has been a busy year!

Thanks for being patient with my sporatic posts.

Thanks for visiting, and happy mid-October! It has been a crazy month so far. I finished the mural at Quarry Hill in the beginning of the month. The finished product can be seen here on my Murals page. It was so great working for the lovely Gillilan family, and a pleasure to meet the friendly people who stopped by to chat while I was working.

On October 20th, the Burlington Free Press did an article about my murals called "Canvases Of Our Landscape", written by Matt Sutkoski.

Currently I'm doing some signage for the new L&M Diner in downtown Barre, to be opening in early November. Check out my Blog soon for some pictures of the new project and some reverse glass painting tips!

About a year ago I volunteered to do a mural at High Mowing Seeds in Wolcott, VT, and since then I've been lucky enough to paint murals for numerous VT businesses. This last week, I started a two-part mural on the garage doors of Quarry Hill Farm in Jeffersonville- check out pictures at my Blog by clicking the picture below:

More info can be found at Quarry Hill Farm's Facebook page

On Sept 22nd, I recieved a "Rising Star" Alumni award from Johnson State College because of my mural work in the region. Read the full article in JSC's newspaper, basement medicine by clicking the photo:

Thanks again for visiting, and come back soon... My goal is to update this page every month!
